A fresh neighbourhood in Australia’s oldest inland city has just reached its final stages of development and is ready to welcome new residents home.

Perched on the crest of Marys Mount Road in Goulburn, Teneriffe is a thoughtfully planned community that offers large residential blocks and acres of parks, bushland and wetlands, achieving the much sought-after balance of rural and suburban living.

With all blocks a minimum of 700 square metres, buyers have freedom of choice and plenty of wide open spaces to play with when it comes to securing their dream home.

Sales agent with Ray White Goulburn Dale Cummins has lived in the area his whole life. Now, with a family of his own, he understands how important it is to find the right home in the right place, with plenty of room to grow.

“Goulburn is a beautiful city to live in. There’s just so much history everywhere you turn, and it’s very family-friendly,” he says.

“Teneriffe is a brilliant opportunity to be part of the next stage for our community – the new Goulburn, so to speak. The design brings something fresh to the area while celebrating its country roots and peaceful atmosphere.”

Described as ‘perfectly positioned’, Goulburn sits around two hours from Sydney and the coast, and under an hour from Canberra. Being so central, it’s a hub for activity and attracts residents and visitors from all walks of life.

Galleries, thoroughfare retail and restaurants are all highly rated, schools cover all ages from early childhood through to tertiary education, and outdoor adventure is never far away.

Built on what was once a large apricot orchard, Teneriffe blocks are lush and fertile with good street frontage. The suburb boasts beautifully landscaped spaces that take advantage of gentle, grassy slopes that characterise the northern region of Goulburn.

A range of packages are available: buyers can cover house and land in one fell swoop, or buy a block and choose their own builder.

“There are parks, playgrounds, outdoor entertainment and barbecue areas for residents to congregate in,” Dale says.

“Green is everywhere you look, which I think is just so important in a town like this one. And even though it’s a new development, Teneriffe doesn’t take away from Goulburn’s historic charm.”

With blocks starting at $385,000, there’s a good reason the neighbourhood has garnered so much attention from hopeful tree-changers in Canberra and its surrounds.

“It’s much better value than you’d find in Canberra,” Dale says.

“The blocks are not only larger, they’re cheaper too. Goulburn also has a pretty stable market, so it’s a great way to break into property if you’re unable to buy in the big city.

“Teneriffe is the perfect spot for young families, first home buyers, retirees … Anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital without giving up the conveniences of a modern township.”
