The tragic hearing for one of Mr Zhao’s murderers continues

By Ozi - 1 November 2013 18

Sourced from The Canberra Times, it is interesting to see that the lovely Taylor Schmidt suffers from “substance abuse disorder, depression and adolescent conduct disorder.”

Isn’t that just psychiatrist talk for “loves taking drugs, is sad about being caught for killing a dude, and behaves like a shit during his adolescence?”

Perhaps many Riotacters could be diagnosed with “chronic mammary appreciation disorder” or “acute internet bantering syndrome.” Thoughts?

What’s Your opinion?

So, you are advocate for abusing women, are you?

That’s a bizarre stretch. I have no tolerance for physical abuse from men or women on men or women.

I’m saying being hit does not cause one to develop a special “syndrome” where it’s legally okay to murder someone (who are conveniently no longer around to give their side of the story) rather than just leave the relationship.

Spot on.
\Who remembers “Recovered Memory Syndrome?”
Who remembers Graphology?

Psychiatrists appear as “expert witnesses” where they proceed to skew the result towards whataver fantasy belief they happen to hold – there is virtually no science in psychiatry, it is 99% an exercise in pure bullshit.

Everything is the fault of the Greens in your simple mind, isn’t it? As for “Battered Wife Syndrome”, don’t you think that being stabbed in the neck in their sleep is too lenient a punishment for chronic wife-bashers?

So the penalty for assault should be the death penalty – is that what you are saying?

Darkfalz may not necessarily disagree with you on that.

Moron.

Battered wife syndrome stems from much more than assault.

Looks like social justice Greens types have infiltrated not only every level of academia, but every level of psychiatry too. The nonsense that began with “Battered women’s syndrome” (you know, where killing your spouse in their sleep becomes the only option) has now resulted in other crap like “Adolescent conduct disorder”.

Not wanting to grow up and act like a responsible adult is not a “disorder”. But we well know every one of these bullshit disorders his lowlife lawyer conjures up will take years off the sentence…

“spokesman for his section of the jail” – spokesman, or ring leader? If this filth sees daylight before he’s 60, I’ll be pissed.

Given the makeup of the Canberra judiciary prepare to be pissed.

Hadn’t realised Zhao he’d been married for less than a year too. Is it wrong to hope Schmidt gets shanked within a week of wherever he ends up?

Generally medical conditions are diagnosed by doctors or specialists? Psychiatrist talk? Are you against the outcome of the crime or is it just because the offender had a legal defence? Specialist reports can be handed up to assist the judge in sentencing , and for heaps of reasons, not just the one you are inferring. Joker. And why cheap shot the shrinks? They’re doctors mate, training only to heal the sick , protect the weak, and everyone else who might need one. There are quacks in every profession. Obviously the Dr submitted expert witness reports just to piss of the people who are known to piss and moan about what justice isn’t being served. If you don’t like the idea of the right to a defence, you should know that our system doesn’t function without equal representation on both sides. You cannot have one without the other. While you are reading dog shit CT articles for all your Gospel , Joker, take a read at the latest crime figures released. Lowest levels yet. I hope you don’t ever take your cheap shots to the next level and start attacking nurses or bag snatching from the elderly. Joker.

I was amused to read in the Crimes article:

“defence barrister Ken Archer said Schmidt acted in self-defence on one occasion, and not enough detail had been put before the court about other incidents. He said his client had completed a number of courses on remand and had recently been nominated by prison staff as a spokesman for his section of the jail.”

A “spokesman”… It appears his ability to use his very smooth, cool as a cucumber tactics to get what he wants is still working.

I thought that all adolescents with a spark of initiative had “adolescent misconduct disorder.”

In a previous life, I organised a small conference which included about 40 psychiatrists. Some of them were fine people, but others – ay-yay-yay. They were, in keeping with the stereotype, nuttier than their clients. There was no behaviour so weird, aberrant and sadistic that they could not find a kindly rationale for it. Victims were completely off their radar.

Psychiatry, in large part, is about as scientific as astrology. Good practitioners get results which are not that different from good practitioners in other fields, including psychologists, counsellers, religious advisers, friends and relatives. There are a few who are exceptionally good at what they do.

ACT judges seem to be mesmerised by this stuff.

The trouble seems to be that the perfectly reasonable legal principle of taking all the circumstances into account has been devolved into taking voodoo into account.

I read that this morning, the article made me so sad and angry.

” Isn’t that just psychiatrist talk for “loves taking drugs, is sad about being caught for killing a dude, and behaves like a shit during his adolescence?” “

Someone attacks you and you have to prove you didn’t use “unreasonable force” in protecting yourself otherwise you could be in trouble, but if someone goes looking for someone to attack then “substance abuse disorder, depression and adolescent conduct disorder” is an excuse, really????? Someone please explain the law and what it has to do with justice?
