Top end of the Public Service balloons

By johnboy - 28 November 2005 9

The Canberra Times has coverage of an explosion of top level pays in the ACT Public Service while other jobs are slashed.

Smaller numbers of better paid people seems the way to go if you ask me. So no complaints here.

What’s Your opinion?

Someone at my work just went to Melbourne for a “course”. She took her family and spouse and spent most of the time doing sweet FA. She had plenty of stories to tell this morning, but nothing on the course she went to.

Gotta love it….>:(

Irrespective of the head count issue, smaller amounts of people who are better paid would be a far better way to run this place. That and funding decisions through the budget process where the money isnt spent on frivolous rubbish, such as court actions, memorials, needless press releases on social issues that barely affect our territory.

Not to mention sending staff to melbourne to hook up simple IT issues and surrond sound systems…
