Well, the neighbours will certainly get some cheap amusement – I should sell tickets and lemonade! It could be jolly festive.

Well, to learn you need something that’s not scary. Being up on a full sized bike is scary, so you won’t get anywhere. being on something smaller, that isn’t threatening, will have you working out the balance thing in aoubt 5 minutes. Maybe not a tiny bike, but one that is more like a toy than a threatening perch.

Well, spiders need homes too.

I don’t know about this ‘little kid’s bike’ method …. Are you sure? I think my knees would hit the handlebars!

Just get a little kid’s bike, and fartle around on it. It’s like riding a pogo stick, just takes getting used to it.

My bike doesn’t work. I bought it years ago, it’s heavy, and now is a spider environment.

I know!! I wonder if I could learn to ride by then? Does anybody offer bicycle lessons?

It seems I have underestimated the finish time by a good hour and a half!

The bike hash will finish at 6pm, complete with ‘circle’ – basically how was the ride, what would you give it out of ten, any newbie ‘virgins’ scull a beer, beers sculled for ‘charges’ and ‘false charges’, next run announced etc.

After that there will be a walk around Civic for those interested! Good grief!! I think there may be some partyish plans after that also for the stout-hearted ….

Anyway, sounds like a fun day out with a great group of people. I’ve found them very friendly and welcoming and not at all cliquey. If you don’t know them already, you will after the bike hash!!

Anyhow, biker type people enjoy! The rest of you ignore ….
