The Canberra Times brings word that despite many infringements it’s quicker for the Office of Regulatory Services to just not renew security licences annually than to go to the trouble of getting the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal to revoke them:
- A spokeswoman said the ORS often declined to renew licences for wayward workers when they came up for review every 12 months.
”By the time it takes to get through [tribunals], they have to be renewed anyway,” she said.
