Two Sticks Road closed by campground waste water dump

Territory and Municipal Services are warning that Two Sticks Road in Namadgi is off limits.

The closure follows an incident where a truck rolled over while carrying waste water emptied from a NSW campground. The driver sustained a broken arm in the incident.

Environment Protection officers are in attendance and will be providing advice on the vehicle recovery phase of this incident.

ActewAGL has been notified of the incident.

Yes it’s mostly in Brindabella NP, but it runs through Namadgi NP for 5-6km from the intersection with Brindabella road to the ACT border just south of Mt Coree. Namadgi continues almost all the way up to Blue Range Hut (http://www.tams.act.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0018/200574/A3_Map_NNP_Mgt_Zones.pdf).

Two Sticks Road is in Brindabella National Park. It does run a short way through the ACT, but that’s just to the north of Uriarra State Forrest.
