Colin & Nima

Today Unearthed Review is mellowing with Colin and Nima.

There are over 700 Canberra bands with tracks on the TripleJUnearthed website. In 2011 we’re going to explore them. (Previous reviews are available)

Today’s random selection is Colin & Nima who present this bio:

Colin taught me guitar when I was 13. Ever since then, we had been jamming anything and everything, from Ben Harper to Jeff Buckley to Tool. Experiences that blessed our lives with lessons, hardships and happiness is what inspired us to write music. We made this music just for ourselves and our friends to listen to, but we decided to share it with whoever was willing to listen! So here we are.

Acoustic duo, check. Pleasant melodies, check. Catchy hooks, check. Stated influence Coldplay? Oh dear.

Actually they’re well worth a listen despite that.

They’re not setting the world on fire with any of this stuff, but it’s pleasant enough and they appear to be young.

One to watch.
