Today Unearthed Review takes aim at the dreamy electronica of Consumer.
There are over 700 Canberra bands with tracks on the TripleJUnearthed website. In 2011 we’re going to explore them. (Previous reviews are available)
Today’s random selection is Consumer who describe themselves thusly:
It’s an audio bio.
Which doesn’t tell us a whole lot, but is positively verbose compared to their tracks.
There are words on their remix of the Bloc Party song “The Prayer”, but as those words are not Consumer’s, perhaps best disregarded.
The other two tracks are entirely instrumental.
And, well, actually really good.
Consumer’s tracks serve the general purpose of having music from while not being demanding, allowing one’s mind to really think.
It’s actually very pleasant to have on the background.
Four stars.
