Aaah, Zombies!

Unearthed Reviews rises from its grave to terrorise my afternoon.

Today the RNG gave me 11.

11 means Aaah, Zombies!

Here’s what they have to say about themselves:

The world has been taken over by Zombies! No time to fear lets all dance it up with other Zombies.
Twist guts and Andy slay met over a dead body eating away they noticed that the both moaned in harmony, they sprung the idea that they might have something they could work with, thus starting the band “Aaah Zombies” the name came from when people saw them walking towards them on the street they would often yell out “AAAH Zombies!” so the name stuck we hope you enjoy our form of dub as much as we have had making it.

Not the most coherent bio, but I was really just expecting them to go with the obvious joke and say “Brrrrraaaiiiinnnssss…” so we should be grateful for what we get.

Here’s what I have to say about them:

Aaah, Zombies! have made one little electronic song. It’s kinda cute I guess, but it feels like a funny idea two mates came up and spent a small part of their afternoon on before returning to playing Halo.

It’s a fun little tune that captures the creepy music vibe of classic sci-fi horror movie soundtracks and has some zombie moans played over the top every now and then.

That’s it. It’s nothing special, but it isn’t trying to be.

I do wish they had reached a bit further to find more zombies moans and noises. There was a lot more fun that could of been had with this.

I have absolutely no idea what score to give this, in fact I’m fairly sure I shouldn’t give it a score at all. It’s not like the other Unearthed Acts I review and it’s not trying to be.

it feels like trying to review a funny .gif of a cat the same way I’d review a portrait.

Except, well you know… continuity and all that.

Two stars.
