About 4 inches long.
Couldn’t get better images as I was too scared to get close to it.
I saw one in my yard the other week and was too scared to get close to it to take a photo – glad I’m not the only one who thinks they are revolting!
I have nothing against bugs in general, I am usually quite happy to get close and take some macro shots, but watching this thing in motion made me feel physically ill.
It’s a cricket moll.
For an extremely unsuccessful miniature cricket team.
Mole cricket, you answer with a glint in your eye and a smile on your face. April first has long passed guys!
I asked the very same question a few months ago.

lol nothing to worry about… it is a Mole Cricket!
