Who should we review? From TripleJ Unearthed.

triple J unearthed

At this time there are 765 artists on the TripleJ Unearthed website who self identify as being of the ACT.

We tried reviewing them at random, but the sheer awful nature of many of the entries sapped our will to live up here in the Eagle’s Nest.

We then slogged through the “drummed” artists to more pleasing effect.

But having completed that task who should we review?

Just make a suggestion in the comments.

Whoops, you wanted “of the ACT”. That’ll teach me to read.

Hey guys, we just missed the cutoff for unearthered, so bummed at that, but check us out on facebook! http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Cameron-Mortimer-Trio-Load-Explosion/139774529415786

It would be great if you could review any of the bands I’m involved with:

Them As Well – http://www.triplejunearthed.com/ThemAsWell

Freyja’s Rain – http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Artists/View.aspx?artistid=22390

Tara Favell – http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Artists/View.aspx?artistid=45680

Oh, Quick 50, Barry Drive, Special Gueststar, Beanort, Redletter… and whatever happens, Trouser Trouser will always win!

The London Circuit, Vario divers and The Heroines

Omar Musa, Pocket Fox, Cracked Actor, James Fahy.

Sunchaser and the Wayward Orchestra

Great Canberra band, think they have some shows and an album launch coming up.

Give Perpetual End a looksee.

These guys had 3 songs in the top 5 metal songs in the unearthed comp in 2008 at one stage. They always get the crowd going at the Basement, played in the ‘Little Day Out’, have made the regional finals of Battle of the Bands…

Fantastic local band.

If hip-hop’s your thing I’d take a look at http://www.triplejunearthed.com/theundergraduates

Kareeelah! He keeps appearing in the Unearthed top 20 Electronic list. He’s done sets alongside Strangeways, Purple Sneakers, Eddie Shaggz, Azari & III and lots more!

Scaramouche … my god but they were an absolutely blistering live act.

Saw them play the Maram as part of a benefit gig (for the QLD floods) and the guitarist ended up having his shirt torn to shreds.

Give Black Creek a looksee

Also, Scaramouche, though they have now moved to Melb, but were originally from ACT
