As the fog and frost sweep across Canberra and the days grow shorter, we are plunged into formidable and freezing season of winter…
But never fear! Canberra Youth Theatre’s WICKED WINTER Holiday Workshops are open for enrolment this July, celebrating the two sides that accompany every story!
Bringing together a group of up to 16 young people, two tutors will use drama games and exercises across a fun week long program to build and develop skills in theatre. Catering for ages 7 through to 12 our holiday programs are designed to build confidence and fundamental skills in voice, movement, character and story.
Throughout the week, the workshop will also work with their tutor to create a short 10 minute theatre piece under the theme WICKED WINTER to perform at the end of the week for our family and friends that implements the skills learnt over the 5 days!
However, this winter there is a twist!!! We are excited to merge Dance and Theatre together with our Theatre Tutor Casey Elder and Dance/Movement Tutor Alison Plevey joining forces!!
That’s not all!! We will also be off to The Canberra Theatre Centre to see the Flying Fruit Fly Circus’ – “Circus Under My Bed”
All those CREATIVELY WICKED are WELCOME!!!
