Woman, 78, charged over possession of veterinary drugs

A 78-year-old woman has been summonsed to appear in court next month after police allegedly found veterinary drugs at a premises in Hall.

ACT Policing detectives assisted by RSCPA inspectors executed a search warrant yesterday (Thursday, 19 January) on the premises after receiving information from multiple sources.

Police said the unauthorised possession of many of these drugs was a criminal offence.

The woman has been charged with possession of a declared substance without authority, possession of a drug of dependence, and providing a veterinary service when not registered.

She is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday 15 February.
