A 23-year-old Ngunnawal woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court after a firearm was located at her home in Ngunnawal in April.

On Friday (April 24) about 4pm, detectives from Taskforce Nemesis executed a search warrant in Ngunnawal and located a firearm.

Detectives located a sawn off shotgun and an amount of ammunition within the residence. The shotgun will now be forensically examined to determine if it has been used in any of the recent shooting incidents in the ACT.

The 23-year-old Ngunnawal woman will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court in relation to the firearm.

If you have any information regarding this incident, or any illicit firearms, please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
