Woman's death at Barton hotel 'does not appear to be suspicious'

Police are investigating the circumstances which led to a 51-year-old woman’s death in a Barton hotel room.

Officers went to the hotel on National Circuit at about 1:15 pm on Tuesday (5 March) following reports a person had been found dead.

In a statement, ACT Policing said while they would continue inquiries, at this stage the woman’s death “does not appear to be suspicious”.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
