Elderly woman's body found by care worker in Fisher home

An investigation has been launched into the death of a 92-year-old woman in Fisher.

Police were called after a care worker found the woman deceased during a scheduled visit at about 2:40 pm on Monday (31 July).

A 92-year-old man who is known to the woman has been taken into custody and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

It’s not believed any other person was involved and there is no threat to the community.

No charges have been laid at this stage.
