Information sought about man accused of creating fake dating profiles before allegedly attacking woman

Police are after more information about a man who’s accused of creating fictitious accounts on multiple online dating platforms before allegedly indecently assaulting a woman.

It’s believed the man used fake photos and a fake name to engage with several women through dating apps between January 2023 and January 2024.

In one incident, it’s alleged the man gave his number and home address to a woman under the guise of the fake online profile.

It’s further alleged the man committed an act of indecency without consent on the woman when they met up.

He has been charged and is currently before the courts.

Police have already spoken with a number of people in relation to this investigation and have urged anyone who is yet to speak with officers to come forward.
