Snowy-Hydro SouthCare is the local aero-medical and rescue helicopter service for the ACT and South-East New South Wales and has conducted 2,172 rescue missions to date. The crew have won many bravery awards for missions including the rescue of 9 crew in the disastrous 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and more recently in the 2002 Canberra Bushfires.
As this is a volunteer rescue service, they require strong financial support from the community to ensure they can continue to save lives.
A fundraising Music Trivia Night will be held on Friday 2 June 2006 at The Burns Club to raise much needed funds for this priceless helicopter rescue service.
You can show your support by buying a table and battling it out with friends, colleagues or family to participate in what is surely to be a very different and entertaining night, complete with a live band, great prizes and interactive and fun bonus rounds!
