Andrew Leigh expanding his marquee hire business

Member for Fraser Andrew Leigh has announced that his successful marquee loaning enterprise has grown with the addition of another one.

Due to the popularity of the ‘Big Tent’ among local community groups, I’ve now bought a second marquee. The younger sibling is a smidgin smaller, and fits in a regular sedan with the front seat down.

If your community organisation would like to borrow one (or both!), just email me at andrew.leigh.mp aph.gov.au, or phone 6247 4396.

It’s very clever (as you’d expect). Groups get the free use of a marquee, and Dr Leigh gets free advertising (on top of goodwill).

He can’t just donate some of these things to local community groups? Instead he wants everyone to come ask him for the privilege to show his brand. No kidding one that size is $60 from a local outdoors retailer. You can buy a full marque with plastic sides and windows for sub $200.

Frankly it’s stingy and sleazy at the same time.

Can he do a good deal on a Senator McMullin Cone of Silence?

Or you could support a local small business and hire one from Shade4hire.com Still stops the rain and comes without any political baggage.

I’d go for bad boy for love or Angry doing a cover of’you’re so vain’.

I hear that Dr Leigh is going to hire himself out to do ‘pollygrams’, where he performs the dance of 1000 economics papers, which are slowly removed to a recording of his maiden speech. Or to Bad Boy for Love, by a Mr A. Anderson (your choice).

Needless to say, this is also free.

Drac is also offering his very own P.A. System. I wonder what’s next? Free trailer hire?

Don’t forget it is costing him nothing. It would come out of his slush fund for building social capital!
