Feel like letting out your inner child and playing with some cardboard weaponry?
Me too, let’s go to Box Wars at Enlighten Festival.

Box Wars is the art of destruction, building stunningly ornate sculptures only to smash them in a fast and furious battle of epic proportions.

If you fancy yourself a dab hand with a cardboard sword or paper club and you want to step into the action of the ring register your interest with Enlighten 2013.

About 2 years ago I contacted the Box Wars Council about setting up a Canberra chapter and they were totally supportive of that. But then I got kinda busy with running a Nerf and HvZ group and other projects. Maybe if the interest kicks off from here I’ll revisit the idea….

Went to the workshop out at Belco Arts Centre. Worked with two of the guys running it (great guys) and made ourselves some cardboard armour and……….boats. That’s all I’m saying – you should come and check it out on Friday night.
