Very strange. CT article says the father was forcing the girl to swim – and initially refused medical help.

Get’s even stranger now, WIn News reports Police say the girl was not in the water at the time.

🙁 too sad.

Ohhh dammit… I was leaving CISAC with my son after his swimming lesson this morning, and saw the paramedics trying to resuscitate someone on our way out. Thank goodness we couldn’t see who they were working on – I’d imagined it would have been someone who’d keeled over during a gym session. I’m guessing it was a drowning though. There were two full size ambulances, plus another Subaru Outback style ambulance out the front – the ambo’s have obviously responded with everything available, but tragically it wasn’t enough.

Condolences to the family.

Very, very sad. My condolences and I wish the family comfort, fortitude and strength.
I was there for my friend many years ago the day his young brother died in a pool. Losing children is the most heartbreaking thing.
