Police are attempting to identify three teenagers – one boy and two girls – allegedly involved in the assault and attempted aggravated robbery of a 12-year-old girl in Woden.
The alleged victim had parked an electric scooter inside the entry doors of the Corinna Street entrance to Westfield Woden at about 6 pm on Friday (9 June).
It’s believed a teenage boy approached and then walked away with the scooter before a woman, known to the 12-year-old, took the scooter back.
One of the teenage girls then allegedly assaulted the 12-year-old girl and threatened to assault the woman before the trio ran away.
The girl who’s accused of committing the assault is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a solid build and dark red hair, and was wearing a black hoodie, black leggings and pink runners.
The boy is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a thin build and short, light brown hair, wearing a light grey hooded jumper, black jacket, black pants, and tan work boots.
The second girl, who was part of the trio, is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a solid build and dark hair, wearing a black jumper, black pants, and white runners.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault and attempted aggravated robbery or who may be able to identify the alleged offenders.
