Here I am banging on about petrol prices again…so I expect the usual slagging from the usual suspects – whatever!
As a motorist who actually cares about saving some money on fuel – particularly now that the prices are on the way back up again (I told you so), I’ll always keep an eye out for fellow RA’ers who want to save a quid on petrol.
The Mobil in Melba was recommended to me a couple of weeks ago as a place that offers very competitive prices. After initially paying not too much attention to the suggestion and putting it down to a short term grab for money by the service station, I’ve had reason to drive past the station on a few occasions over the last 2 weeks since I last filled up. They are always cheaper than anywhere else I see.
When I needed to fill up today, I drove past Charny where I usually fill up and saw the discount E10 for $121.99 per litre. I took the chance to duck by Melba on the way to work and paid $112.99 per litre, without any discount needed). Based on the almost 70 litre fill I saved over $6.
After chatting to the dude at the register, he said that Mobil often have more room to discout their petrol whenever they can. He also said that for over the last month, they’ve consistently been the cheapest outlet in the ACT.
If you live nearby, reward not only yourself, but an outlet actually doing the right thing by customers. Buy your petrol at Mobil in Melba.
