The paintings were small. For the best effect several would need to be grouped together, making it a pricey purchase. The paintings had a unique look, and were interesting; hence they stood out and attracted people’s interest.

All but one were sold as of yesterday – prices were from about $400 to $550. They were all acrylics I think.
I imagine they will get more valuable over time.

ABC TV usually means ABC Television. ha ha
It’s on Friday nights and repeated Sunday morning. You can get it off the website.

This was one of the best ABC TV productions I have ever seen, especially the more local segments.
It is about time Charles Weston received accolades for his horticultural vision for Canberra. I don’t think Weston would be impressed with the National Arboretum much either.
It is a shame the ABC can’t be as apolitical as they were more often.
The segment on Thea Katauskas’ exhibition prompted me to go and see it (today is the last day). What a talent she is although I was surprised at the small size of the paintings.
