the problem is he didnt ask in a polite manner, rather “wtf am i, how would i know whats stolen and whats not.”

and with the sign pole they did absolutly nothing about moving it to make sure nobody else hits it. no WE had to move it out the way while they were more interested in blocking the whole street so nobody else could get past their van while they walked around the car 20 times with their torches trying to pin it on me.

Thats the problem with them! Didnt know doing the right thing was suddenly bad. next time i shouldnt bother. let someone else run over the sign and destroy their car or cause an accident.

well, special G, if they are a mate of mine, they won’t. nearly all of my mates get a cab, and the rest bunk down for the night. It is a learning curve for new friends, but they get the hint. i have lost friends through the actions of drink drivers, some in the same car and some who were hit by them. I was an alcoholic myself, but I at least had enough sense to leave the car and walk home. I have never, nor will I ever drink and drive.

sometimes tho the police are just unhelpful period. like when i called to advise of a stolen car parked out the front. i got a crap response of “Well how do you know its stolen?” maybe cos the club lock is mangled up and laying on the back seat whilst the drivers door lock has been reefed out and the ignition is in pieces with wires out the back. I dunno tho, im not an expert car thief.

or the time we stopped to pick up a road sign in the middle of the road which someone hit and just carried on.. as i stopped the police rocked up, not caring about the sign but instead block the road to ask me if i didnt really take the sign out incl the concrete base, even tho my barina looks as new as when it left the showroom.

some cops have been helpful in the past when i’ve reported stuff but the majority of times i’ve just had some cockwad who doesnt really want to do anything. sad really…

You know the Poice are always to blame, even if they weren’t there. At least I am safe in the knowledge that no one could park their car in my bedroom.

How does someone with a reading that high ever think they are good to drive? they must have noticed that they were having trouble concentrating. beggars belief.

And the blame for the actions of a drink driver are theirs, not the purveyor of alcohol, not the police, not anyone else.

so many times i have seen people take stupid risks after getting a skinful. I have tried on a couple of occasions to intercede, but have now resorted to calling the police and advising them of the person’s condition & their number plate. My friends know that if they are drunk and get behind the wheel, i will be dobbing them in. They are still my friends, and I do this because I care. If I didn’t, I would just let them go.

Same old same old from the police and the courts. It’s getting boring.
