We are looking for someone to remove our wood heater and flue (never use it as house has ducted gas as well), and patch the resulting hole in the ceiling. The tricky bit is that we have cathedral ceilings (high, no cavity) which are wood panelled, rather than just standard plasterboard ceilings. Obviously keen to have the job done well so that the new panelling matches the old. It’s a late 70’s house in Giralang.
Any recommendations for someone who could do this kind of job – either the whole thing, or particularly the ceiling repair part? I think getting someone to remove the flue will be the easy bit.
Thanks in advance.
