If 18million drivers cause in 1300 deaths, while 800,000 gun owners cause 200, it is readily apparent that,
It takes 14,000 drivers to cause one death.
It takes 4,000 gun owners to cause one death.

(Note: I’ve included “riders” in the figures above, remove motorcycles and drivers per death will improve by whatever subtracting the tripled risk of 3.5% comes to, something I can’t do right now because it’s past beer o’clock and I have to go.)

See, Light Rail just doesn’t allow this kind of flexibility! 😀

I seriously don’t know why we allow such people to use motorised vehicles in public places – it’s time our governments stopped handing out driver’s licences like raffle tickets at the Spring Fair. It might have been an accident and didn’t kill anyone THIS time (do we really think the driver paused to select the part of the building where no one happened to be working at the time?). If someone was to have an accident with a gun by firing it into an office, the gun would be (appropriately) taken off them immediately and their licence revoked. Yet, someone drives their car into an office and I’ll bet they don’t even incur a fine or any demerit points.
