In a move confirming UC’s role as a technical college, the ANU has announced that they’ve signed an agreement to offer joint education degrees:
The Vice-Chancellors of ANU and UC signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Canberra this morning to capitalise on the complementary strengths of the two institutions in research, education and professional training. The MoU will also broaden the scope of existing ANU and UC partnerships.
Early results of the alliance include a new four-year joint degree program in science and education from 2011. The science component will be delivered by ANU and the education component by UC. A similar joint program will be conducted to train Asian language teachers.
There’s a bunch of other stuff they’re going to cooperate too, but that seems to be the biggun.
