Falling under the “rock, space rock, funk and space funk” categories, Wesley & The Crushers (pictured) having been kicking around CBR joints since 2013. They will be playing at the Pot Belly this weekend as part of Rock The Pot, playing with The Get Downs and The Blade Winner, all starting from 8 pm on Saturday.
On Friday, Alice Ivy will be taking her “Close To You” national tour to CBR, playing at Mr Wolf with Miss Blanks from 7.30 pm. Over at the UC Refectory from 8 pm, Brisbane melodic hardcore quartet She Cries Wolf will be playing with Heists and Napalm Deathbeds, while Smith’s Alternative hosts MC KREWD’s Space Party, an intergalactic art party, from 9.30 pm.
On Saturday, the East Row Rabble will be taking over the Old Canberra Inn, while over at Smith’s from 4 pm it’s a great arvo of rock with Snake Oil Preachers and Il Bruto. Rob Snarski will be bringing his “Sparrow and Swan” album tour to Smith’s right after, then at Transit Bar Melbourne death metal band Zeolite play with Arteries, Xenobiotic, Inhuman Remnants and Hostel from 8 pm.
