http://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/ is free, except for special exhibits. Similar to NGA and the Portrait gallery.

I have a Zoo membership and people look at me funny as if once you’ve seen the animals why see tham again 🙂

Agreed. Mini-Q is great for 2 – 5 year olds. Don’t get stuck there in School hols though cause you won’t be able to move (especially if it’s wet).

I don’t get along there all that often but I’ve spent way too much time watching the ball machine in the foyer, but now that it’s in the foyer you don’t need a membership for that

Aside from that if you have children or visitors they love Questacon, it’s a fun place with a first timer. Also they run various fun talks in their theatre(s) (not to be confused with standard lectures) and the galleries do change often enough

And like all memberships I’m sure if offers other benefits like discounts at their store and cafe

It’s all too old, dusty and haggard for anyone to have fun there.

A recent discussion with a an emplyee there revealed that massive budget cuts not only affect the staff, but also result in reduced cleaning and maintenance of the exhibits.

That being said, why would I want to go there more than once every three years?

You obviously have pretty lame requirements when it comes to entertainment.

I’ve still got some free passes to Questacon from what must be last century, with no expiry date. Woohoo.
