Police seek witnesses to suspicious fire in Griffith

Police are calling for witnesses to come forward as officers begin their investigation into a suspicious fire in Griffith on Monday night (22 July).

Around 8:50 pm, emergency services were called to a home on La Perouse Street, Griffith after reports of a fire.

Firefighters, who extinguished the blaze, deemed the fire suspicious and referred to police for further investigation.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage of La Perouse Street or the surrounding area between 8 pm and 9:30 pm on Monday (22 July).

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
