With the indefinite suspension of the 2020 Super Rugby competition, now’s the perfect time to get to know our Super Rugby and Super W players a little better in the form of a Q&A.

Over the coming weeks, players will be answering 10 questions covering sport, hobbies and life in Canberra.

Sydney-born Brumbies captain Allan Alaalatoa gets the ball rolling.

1. Favourite thing to do to unwind in Canberra?

A: My favourite thing to do in Canberra to unwind is playing golf with the boys. You have some good yarns on the course. I go with a group that plays the same as me, so I’m not the only one looking for my ball in the rough.

2. Must see places in Canberra for visitors?

A: The War Memorial is great for people who love their history. Great insight into the people who sacrificed their lives for us to live a better life and what they had to go through, everyday, fighting for our freedom.

While you’re there you could drive/walk up Mount Ainslie for a nice view of Canberra.

If you love a good juice and a toasted sandwich, pop into Cafe Momo in Bruce, grab an immunity juice and sandwich #4. Great combo and my go-to.

3. Favourite thing about Canberra and why?

A: The best thing about Canberra is how peaceful it is and how close everything is. There is hardly any traffic so getting around is easy. Most boys in the Brumbies come from out of state, so we have no family here. We are always hanging out with each other outside of rugby which is what I also love about Canberra.

4. Go-to coffee order?

A: Small double shot flat white.

5. Best memory of your time with the Brumbies?

A: Best memory at the Brumbies would be beating the Stormers last year at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. It’s always hard to win there. One stage we were down to 14. The lads dug deep, defended our line for long passages and we came away with a win by one point.

6. Funniest teammate?

A: Funniest teammate is Folau Fainga’a. He’s a joker.

7. Team mate who should be the next bachelor/bachelorette?

A: Bo Abra is the next Bachelor. You heard it here first!

8. Favourite hobby outside of rugby?

A: Hobby outside of rugby? Golf.

9. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: My superpower would be to teleport.

10. First memory of the Brumbies?

A: Watching the Brumbies beat the Crusaders in the 2004 Super 12 final.

Next week: Super W co-captain Michaela Leonard.
