The ACT Property Industry’s night of nights celebrated a sector that’s far more than buildings or structures.
The 2022 People In Property Awards highlighted the people and teams behind the projects across a variety of professions and diverse parts of the sector by recognising the Future Leader of the Year, Innovation, Business of the Year, and the Property Professional of the Year, among others.
“These awards represent the excellence in our industry,” Property Council of Australia ACT Executive Director Adina Cirson said.
“All those in attendance were inspired by the high standard and quality of our nominations and award winners, and we extend our congratulations to them all.
“The people awarded have all demonstrated an immense contribution to the broader sector and our community. They are true leaders and people of exemplary commitment and passion for all they do.”

Doma Group Managing Director Jure Domazet was awarded the Allan Wylucki Leadership Award for his contribution to Canberra, the property sector as a whole and as a leader of one of the largest investment and development companies in the ACT.
He was recognised for his innovation in development and through his leadership, contributing to the transformation of the city.
ACT Team of the Year went to the Village Building Company South Jerrabomberra Project Team.
The award recognised Jamie Cregan, Maree Harman, Jason Burgess, Erika Patterson and Kylie Coe under the leadership of Vince Whiteside. The team stood out for their commitment to delivering a quality, well-planned, sustainable and liveable urban community.
Vantage Strata Managing Director Chris Miller was awarded the ACT Industry Impact Award for his tireless commitment and advocacy for change in the property sector. With almost 20 years spent immersed in the intricacies of the strata industry, Chris has become a foremost expert on strata legislation, intent on improving standards across the sector, and as leader of Vantage Strata, personally spearheaded unparalleled levels of growth.

Chris Miller said he was very proud to have won the ACT Property Council Industry Impact Award.
“It is a special moment not just for my own professional career, but for the strata industry as a whole,” Mr Miller said.
“Throughout my career, I have avoided the temptation to go down more traditional property pathways like commercial real estate. I made these decisions because of the critical role strata plays in the property ecosystem, and I believe winning this award is a true demonstration of that fact,” Mr Miller said.
“I also believe this award marks a true watershed moment for the strata industry. We can finally be seen as the prestigious career pathway we are with truly exciting opportunities within for those who are part of it.”
ACT Rising Star Award went to WSP in Australia Associate Land Use Planner Sarah Watts. The People First Award went to RPS Canberra and the ACT Pathfinder Award was taken home by Amy Castro from Evolve FM.
