This 1890s homestead is sure to impress with its historic charm, open spaces and bounty of features.

199 Chews Lane in Bendick Murrell, also known as ‘Dananbilla Homestead’, is an incredible property boasting old world charms and much more, which is what you’d expect from a five-bedroom, double brick home on 76 acres of open land.

Benedick Murrell is on the southwest slopes of NSW, just over 25 km from Young.

Nick Duff from Flemmings Property said the home was magnificent.

“The home’s old-world charm is truly something else, and its 76 acres of land is nothing to scoff at,” he said.

“Inside, you have the fantastic wide hallways and high ceilings, which are some of my favourite features about the home.”

As you make your way into the home, you’ll be taken in by the space, original Cypress timber floors, stained glass windows, open fireplaces throughout and double-brick construction.

Moving on, you’ll find five spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom comes with a walk-in robe and ensuite, while all bedrooms have open fireplaces and access to the wrap-around veranda.

A formal living area with an open wood fireplace and adjoining study is not far away.

The expansive open-plan kitchen, dining and family area has reverse cycle air-conditioning and another wood fireplace.

Moving outside, there’s a neat two-bedroom pool house with kitchenette, living area, bathroom with shower and toilet, ceiling fans and, for added charm, a wood fireplace.

If there’s a pool house, there has to be a pool! And this 15-metre-in-ground lap pool will be a highlight of the warmer months.

The property has a fully equipped bore, ample rainwater storage, a well, a dam and pop-up sprinklers, and a combined 7 kW solar system.

The property has Murringo Creek frontage, which Nick notes was a beautiful feature of the property.

“The home sits right on Murringo Creek, which is something I love about it. You also have verandah access from just about every bedroom so you can get up and relax in the sun.”

There’s also a two-car carport, horse stables, dog runs, cattle yards with a loading ramp, and a 50-acre pasture-improved paddock with stock-proof fencing.

You’ll be kept cool with ceiling fans and ducted evaporative cooling.
