ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Reid early this morning (Thursday, February 9).
About 12.15am, a Dominos pizza delivery driver was making a delivery to an address in Allambee St, Reid, when he was hailed down by three teens.
The driver stopped his vehicle, got out and was immediately approached by a boy and girl, who were both carrying knives. The boy held a knife to the victim’s back while the girl held a knife to his neck. The other boy approached the vehicle and took the pizzas and a bottle of soft drink. He then ran south along Allambee Street.
The first boy demanded the victim’s money before taking a sum of cash from the victim’s hands. The boy and girl fled in the same direction as the other boy.
The two boys are described as being aged around 15 or 16.
The girl is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance and aged in her mid teens. She is approximately 152cm (5’) tall, with brown coloured eyes and brown hair. She was wearing a white hooded jumper.
Police would ask anyone that may have witnessed the incident or may have located a Dominos Pizza Hot Cell box in the vicinity of Reid, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information may be provided anonymously.
