All Saints Anglican Church has purchased a grand piano using donations to its music trust fund. The Church aims to become a major music venue in the area and will run a series of performances in the next few months.
“it…has the potential to be a significant asset to benefit music across the Canberra community,” said Michael Faragher, All Saints’ Rector. “Although the church is a large building, the new grand piano by itself fills it with music, and there is space around it for chamber orchestras, bands and the like.”
The Church will be holding a Grand Opening recital on Saturday 27 October featuring Canberran pianist Sally Whitwell.
