Police are seeking four gun or weapon-wielding home invaders after they allegedly broke into a house in Kambah and assaulted a male resident.
ACT Policing has released security camera footage of the invaders, which apparently shows them struggling with the doors of the car they were trying to steal before fleeing the scene.
Police alleged the four entered a home in Kambah wielding a shotgun, tyre iron and large knife at around 6:45 pm on Monday (21 October).
The group allegedly assaulted a man who lived at the home by repeatedly hitting him in the head while demanding his car keys.
The four then fled in a stolen white BMW X3 with ACT registration AYAA67G.
“A teenage resident managed to escape the home and sought help from neighbours,” a police spokesperson said.
“Police and ACT Ambulance Service arrived a short time later, and the man was transported to hospital.
“Since Monday, the BMW has been involved in several fail-to-stop incidents with police.”
Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the four people captured in the CCTV footage.
