If you are dreaming of spending long weekends and holidays by the seaside, this home in Long Beach, north of Batemans Bay, could be the one you have been waiting for.

Selling agent Kate Quinlivan from My Agent Team says it’s rare for a beach house of this type and location to come on the market, and she doesn’t expect the property at 91 Northcove Road to remain that way for long.

“Long Beach is a lovely community and very sought after by buyers looking for a holiday home. It’s new to market and we are optimistic it will be snapped up fairly quickly as we are already receiving strong interest,” said Kate.

She says there are many reasons this two-storey, four-bedroom, two-bathroom renovated home will be popular.

“It’s located on the cliff-top reserve at Long Beach, so of course, it’s within walking distance of the beach.

“It’s quite an exclusive opportunity to walk to the beach from your back gate. I would say that’s fairly rare along the coastline around Batemans Bay.”

Long Beach stretches from Square Head to Chain Bay, with a small headland dividing it from Maloneys Beach. It’s a popular spot for swimming, snorkelling, paddling and fishing. Dolphins can be spotted from the shore, and whales have been sighted in the bay during whale season.

Cullendulla Creek, which flows into Batemans Bay, has significant Indigenous cultural associations. There is evidence of pre- and post-contact Aboriginal cultural activities. Several walking tracks are also available in the nearby National Parks.

Being 11 km north of Batemans Bay, it is out of the hustle and bustle but not too far for regular trips for shopping and supplies. There’s a general store in nearby Maloneys Beach where you can grab your morning coffee before or after your daily stroll.

“This home offers the perfect lock up and go lifestyle of coming down from somewhere like Canberra, sitting on the deck, relaxing, looking at the ocean views and walking along the beach,” said Kate.

“It’s a versatile home and can cater to a multi-generational family, or you could also have two different families, one upstairs and one downstairs, so you can bring your friends and you’ve got your own space.

She said while it presents as a great holiday home, it would also make a very comfortable permanent residence.

“There’s a fully fenced yard so you could live there with your dogs. It would also be perfect to immediately set it up as an Airbnb as there is an opportunity to buy it furnished or unfurnished.”

On the market for $1,050,000 to $1,150,000, Kate says it’s a very attractive price point for what it offers.

“The tree and ocean outlook is just stunning, you really feel as though you are out of the city, and you have this cliff-top position that I think does make for either a beautiful holiday home or residence.

“The last property I listed in Long Beach had five offers put in on one day, so I would say the demand for properties in this area is high.”
