AFP member accused of breaching a family violence order

A member of the federal police has been accused of breaching a family violence order and has been charged over the allegations.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) member was arrested by ACT Policing on Monday (24 February).

He was scheduled to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday (25 February) on one charge of contravening a family violence order.

“The AFP is committed to transparency,” an AFP spokesperson said.

“As the matter is before the court, no further comment will be made at this time.”
