A Buddhist temple in northern Canberra has been “targeted” with hate symbols, police said as they call for witnesses to the incident.

It is believed hate symbols and racist wording were spray painted onto the Hu Guo Bao En Buddhist Temple in Colbert Close, Nicholls, in the early hours of Monday morning (10 March), an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

Police received a report of the incident on Tuesday morning and began an investigation.
