Tell us how you’d build this city (or even just Civic Square) to win a family pass to We Built This City
The Centenary team is giving to Rioters two family passes to We Built This City, where you and the little people in your lives can have a crack at building your own designed city.
Cast your mind back to your childhood, where you could spend hours playing with the big cardboard box that mum’s new fridge came in. We Built This City takes that concept to the extreme, turning Civic Square into a giant construction site complete with thousands of cardboard boxes.
While you’re reliving your childhood, the kids will be off the computers and iPads bringing their minecraft dreams to life.
Buildings will go up, be pulled down, all accompanied by a DJ and a string of performers and characters. Then at the end of it all, be your own wrecking ball and trample it all down.
Melbourne-based Polyglot Theatre has taken We Built This City to festivals around the world since 2001, entertaining more than 30,000 people. It’s coming to Canberra as part of our Centenary celebrations.
In Washington participants built monuments. In Singapore, skyscrapers. Sydney was all about bridges and opera houses. What do you think Canberrans will build?
To win one of 2 family passes (each including 4 tickets) to We Built This City, just tell us how you would Build this City – or even just Civic Square.
We Built This City is suitable for all ages. Kids should be accompanied by an adult and must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of three. And if you don’t have any kids to bring along, don’t worry! Adults don’t need to accompany a child to attend and will have a pretty cool time too.
