Word has gone forth about The Art of Nature Exhibition at the CSIRO this month:
Works of art featuring birds, beetles, bugs, botanical specimens and beyond, can be seen in this colourful and dynamic exhibition. Established over 14 years ago in Canberra, WABA’s goal is to bring artists, scientists and environmentalists together to promote an appreciation of our natural wildlife and botanical heritage. This 2013 members’ annual exhibition presents contemporary and traditional realist interpretations offlora and fauna, and this year focuses on original small format works of art that will be appealing to and affordable for all nature lovers.
An independent panel of judges with expertise in the life sciences and the arts, will be selecting works for awards of excellence. These awards will be announced at the official opening at 6.00pm on Thursday 7th March. All interested members of the public are welcome to attend the opening.
All works of art are for sale. This exhibition provides an opportunity to purchase an original piece of artwork inspired by wildlife or botanical subjects.
