ACT Customers of NuEnergy - ActewAGL and ACTPLA Guidelines for Solar Panel Installations...

For ACT Nu Energy customers, waiting for installation of solar photovoltaic systems – I have contacted the ACT planning authority and ActeAGL to check on their requirements. Only two minor points to watch out for. Generally solar panels are exempt from the need for planning approval, but there are some exceptions. eg. Planning approval IS needed if they are to be installed within 1.5 metres of a boundary. Also, to benefit from the ACT Government’s feed-in tariff, you MUST lodge an application form – the sooner the better.

I found that someone has already put a collection of related ActewAGL and ACTPLA guides and information sheets on a single web-page to assist ACT Nu Energy customers.
