ACT Police seek to identify man who allegedly filmed woman and daughter without consent in mall

ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspicious man involved in an incident in Westfield Belconnen on Monday, 7 August 2023.

About 12 pm, the man was observed appearing to film a woman and her daughter on his mobile phone for a significant period of time without their knowledge or permission as they walked through the mall.

A short time later, the man was confronted by other shoppers before fleeing the area on foot.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, between 40 and 50 years old, and about 180cm (5’11”) tall with a thin build.

At the time of the incident, police say he was wearing a grey, long-sleeved top, dark pants and a grey beanie.
