ACT records 599 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 599 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 313 identified by PCR and 286 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 38 people in hospital, including three in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 93.8 per cent and 70.1 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 8911 new cases and one death in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 5499 new cases and one death.
