Canberra Youth Theatre’s 2008 Semester 1 Program has been released and it provides a dramatic remedy for young people aged 7-25 who need a regular dose of drama.

The highest dose of drama at CYT this year can be found in our major project The Messenger and by our Actors Ensemble. CYT has engaged Ross Mueller, a Melbourne based playwright, to adapt Markus Zusak’s award winning novel The Messenger to the stage. Ross has just submitted the first draft and CYT is preparing to audition its Actors Ensemble and other members for roles.

The CYT Actors Ensemble meets every Saturday and is for 18-25’s who are passionate about developing core skills in acting and theatre making. It is run by the Artistic Director, Pip Buining, with guest tutors. Applications for the Auditions close on Monday 18 February.

CYT invites young people to come in and get some drama – act, learn, engage, have fun, make new friends and perform in our theatre.

Check out our website on www.cytc.net for the full workshop program or call Pip or Sharon on 6248 5057.
