Adelaide Ave road closure, Sunday?

There are signs popping up along Adelaide Ave warning “roads will be closed in this area” on Sunday, 9th Sept.

Of course, the details are locked in a filing cabinet in the basement, they are not obvious on TAMS’s website, or NCA’s.

Anyone know anything useful, like which roads and when? Thanks.

UPDATE 05/09/12 09:13: This in from TAMS at 9:09:

The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users that there will be a number of road closures associated with the Canberra Times Fun Run from 7 am to 12 noon on Sunday 9 September 2012.

Adelaide Avenue, Northbound lanes
State Circle, Northbound lanes
Kings Avenue, Northbound lanes to Parkes Way
Wendouree Drive between Constitution Avenue and Kings Avenue
Menindee Drive at the intersection with Morshead Drive

(is now a good time to point out that State Circle, being circular and all, doesn’t really have ‘northbound’ lanes? It’s more of a ‘clockwise lanes’ thing.)

Closure is for the annual Canberra Times Fun Run.

There have been notices and maps of alternative routes in the Canberra Times for weeks now.

The short of it – use Kitchener Street, Kent Street, Alexandrina Drive, Commonwealth Avenue to get to Civic from Woden at the time.
