Two homes are being auctioned this weekend on Canberra’s ALLBIDS auction platform and both are expected to be popular with bidders, so make sure they’re on your watchlist, too.

Carter + Co decided to sell the homes via the ALLBIDS platform and believe it offers a unique property buying experience to the market.

“We’re very excited to partner with another Canberra based small business in ALLBIDS,” said Carter + Co selling agent Johnathan Davis.

The four-bedroom family home at 2 Slater Place in Evatt is a delightful, up-to-date home featuring open plan living with an updated ensuite to the master bedroom, spacious open plan meals and family zone, and to make it entirely perfect for families, there’s a teenager retreat (or parent’s retreat?) with a separate entrance.

The kitchen is a real highlight. A Hamptons-style kitchen with stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances, a five-burner Electrolux gas cooktop, a Bosch dishwasher, and an Abey sink with a strainer and cutting board put the home chef in control of a fine dining experience, no matter what. The home’s bathroom has heated towel rails and underfloor heating, a nice touch in a Canberra winter, along with luxurious instant gas hot water.

Selling agent Johnathan Davis says the home at 2 Slater Place is the most popular property the agency has had the pleasure of marketing so far this year.

“Evatt is the kind of suburb where even a home that needed a little work would be popular, so you can imagine the appeal to buyers this fully renovated family home on a decent block has had,” he said.

The three-bedroom, one bathroom home at 8/59 Pinkerton Circuit in Kambah is a great first family home, with a delightful sunny and very roomy outdoor alfresco area on the rear deck. The three bedrooms are large and have built-in robes. The family bathroom has been fully updated, and there is a separate toilet and laundry. There are two courtyards, and the home has ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning for those hot summers, keeping the family cool. It sits only moments away from the Tuggeranong Town Centre and the Namadgi School, and is one of a small boutique complex of eight townhouses.

Agent Johnathan Davis says the brand new covered deck, which faces the northern sun, is the highlight of the home.

“This is an updated townhouse in a boutique complex of only eight,” he said. “Big front and back courtyards mean this space rivals most stand-alone blocks, while the brand new covered deck taking in a northerly aspect is the highlight of the home.

“We’re very excited for this Saturday’s online auctions and look forward to reporting another two successful auction sales managed by our small but highly active city-based firm,” he said.

ALLBIDS CEO Rob Evans said he knows many agents try to find a point of difference in the real estate world, and they wanted to offer something different in terms of property sales in Canberra to gather interest from people who are put off by a normal auction process.

“We want agents to get more bids, more views, and more momentum on a property than just a standard listing or a standard auction, especially during the restrictions of COVID-19,” he said.

“Using the power of the 150,000 registered buyers on our database, the biggest member’s database in Canberra together with over 100,000 unique visitors to our website every month, we have created a Meet the Market Auction platform. It’s a timed seven or 28-day online property auction on our website, drawing on the strength of our system and our database,” said Mr Evans.

“We know there are some clever agents out there who want to get the best outcome for their vendor in the current climate and are willing to think outside the box. Jonathan Davis from Carter + Co is one of those who has two exciting auctions in Kambah and Evatt happening this week and generating a lot of interest,” he said.

These auctions are live now on the ALLBIDS website will run over several days closing this Saturday, 23 May at 10:00 am and 11:00 am respectively.

If you’re thinking of selling your own home, why not watch the auction for 2 Slater Place, Evatt and 8/59 Pinkerton Circuit, Kambah online? The auction action happens live.

And while you’re on the site, why not ask your agent if they are using the ALLBIDS site to auction your home? If you would like to talk to ALLBIDS about auctioning homes online for your vendors, call Rob Evans on 02 6239 2262 or email.
