Small business operators in Canberra are invited to an ANZ small business workshop designed to help them cope with the cash flow challenges of the current economic environment and plan for more prosperous times ahead.
ANZ Group Managing Director, Commercial Banking, David Hisco said this was the first time the free ANZ workshops had been offered in Canberra which reflected ANZ’s commitment to growing its business in ACT and supporting the territory’s small businesses.
The first of these workshops, ‘Cash Flow Management’ to be held on Wednesday 23 September, will be facilitated by CAD Partners, the only large-scale provider of on-demand financial control services to small to medium sized businesses in Australia. The workshop will provide small businesses with strategies for taking control of their cash flow during the current challenging economic conditions and beyond.
Mr Hisco said taking control of cash flow had never been more important for small business.
“The free workshop will help Canberra businesses, especially start-ups, understand different strategies and tactics to ensure they stay in charge of their finances and drive profitability, especially during challenging economic conditions,” Mr Hisco said.
“The workshop also provides a great opportunity for small businesses to network and meet other like-minded business operators.”
Mr Hisco expected the free workshop to be popular in Canberra. ANZ workshops have been filled to capacity in the other capital cities and Mr Hisco encouraged Canberra small business owners to register early as places were limited. The workshop will be held from 9am – 11am on Wednesday 23 September at Cliftons, Level 2, 10 Moore Street, Canberra. Additional workshops will be held in Canberra during November.
The national small business workshop program features industry experts from Google™, Marketing Angels® and businessplans.com.au, along with ANZ’s own small business specialists. Other workshops will also address: online and email marketing, improving brand awareness, generating and nurturing leads and building a business plan.
