ARTillery Festival fun-times await you! Calling all poets, slammers, artists and creative types alike to take up the challenge and apply to be a part of this year’s ARTillery Festival in Canberra – a volunteer initiative of Amnesty International. Use your creative artillery to defend human rights!

Applications close on Monday 24th October – that’s only 4 days!!! So get cracking an download an info pack!


We’re asking artists to engage in a creative process, inspired by the profile of an “Individual at Risk” (someone at risk because of their beliefs), on whose behalf Amnesty is campaigning. The finished works will transform Canberra’s inner city, presented in the windows of friendly local independent shops.


Ever wanted to step outside your comfort zone? Want to collaborate with the unknown? We’re seeking poets and performance artists to collaborate with Canberra academics from ye olde traditional disciplines like law, arts, social studies – to explore inventive and exciting ways of talking about human rights. The result? A ingenious, ardent evening of poetry and performance!
